Common Core Standards
****Expressions & Equations: Work with radicals and integer exponents.****Vocabulary Acquisition and Use:
#6 Acquire and use accurately grade-appropriate general academic and domain-specific words and phrases; gather vocabulary knowledge when considering a word or phrase important to comprehension or expression. Standards for Mathematical Practice: Mathematically proficient students try to communicate precisely to others. They try to use clear definitions in discussion with others and in their own reasoning. They state the meaning of the symbols they choose. By the time they reach high school they have learned to examine claims and make explicit use of definitions.

4. Cooperative review: Students will go over the common core vocabulary pre-test with a partner and make corrections in ink.
Closing
Students will complete the "Irrational/Rational Numbers Organizer.''
Homework
-There will be a test over the 8th grade common core vocabulary on Wednesday and Thursday.
-Students will complete the "Common Core Vocabulary Ticket."
