2. Bellwork: Complete 8th Grade Math Minute 93. Go over correct answers, correct mistakes and record
    score in Math Minute journal.

Lesson (Triangle Congruence Rules Quiz)
1. Review triangle congruence rules by going over the rest of the "Triangle Congruence Puzzle" worksheet.
    Emphasize color coding of corresponding angles and sides. Review 4 rules: ASA, SAS, AAS, SSS.
2. Students will complete the "Triangle Congruence Quiz."

Homework
Work on Study Island lessons for which you did not earn a blue ribbon already.
Complete an XtraMath lesson.

Other
Pass back papers and organize math binders.
Bring your math journal to class tomorrow.

2. Bellwork: Complete 8th Grade Math Minute 94. Go over correct answers, correct mistakes and record
    score in Math Minute journal.

3. Finish the "Triangle Congruence Quiz."

Lesson (Introduction to Similar Figures)
1. Question: What is the difference between congruent and similar?
2. Journal entry: definitions of congruent and similar
3. Give students each a ruler, protractor, and a worksheet "Similar Figures Exploration" with similar     
    polygons. Ask students to measure and record all of the side lengths in millimeters.

4. Question: How can we prove that these polygons are similar?
5. LearnZillion video: "Determining a Scale Factor by Applying Ratios"
6. Question: How do we prove that our sides are proportional?
7. Learn Zillion video: "Determining Similarity by Comparing Angles"
8. Journal entry: "Corresponding sides in similar polygons are proportional."
9. Refer to the "Similar Polygons" worksheet, #1-6. Color code and list the corresponding sides.
    Create proportions. Check the proportions.
10. Exit ticket: "One question that I have about this topic is...."


Homework

Complete the "Exploring Similar Figures" worksheet.
Work on Study Island lessons for which you did not earn a blue ribbon.

Other

Please keep your math binder organized.
Refer back to your journal entry if you need help with the homework.
