Go over homework: "Exploring Similar Figures" word problems #8, 10, and 12 Lesson (Pythagorean Theorem Review) 1. YouTube video: Pythagorean Theorem/Equation 2. Journal entry: right triangle, right angle symbol, legs, hypotenuse 3. YouTube video: Pythagoras in 2 MinutesPythagorean Proof 4. Journal entry: Pythagorean Theorem 5. Guided practice with dry erase boards and markers: Practice A & Practice B worksheet, odd 6. Independent practice and onetoone instruction as needed with Practice A & Practice B worksheet, even Homework Work on Study Island lessons for which you did not earn a blue ribbon already. Complete an XtraMath lesson. Complete Practice A & Practice B, even. Other Pass back papers and organize math binders. Bring your math journal to class tomorrow.

Go over homework: Lesson (Pythagorean Theorem Word Problems) 1. YouTube video: The Best Pythagorean Theorem Rap Ever 1. Question: What can we do with the Pythagorean Theorem? Answer: find missing side lengths in right triangles, calculate distances between vertexes of a right triangle on a coordinate grid, solve word problems involving right triangles, etc. 2. Demonstration: highlighting key words and drawing pictures to help solve word problems 3. Guided practice with "Pythagorean Theorem Word Problems" worksheet, odds 4. Independent practice and onetoone instruction as needed with "Pythagorean Theorem Word Problems" worksheet, evens. Finish for homework. 5. Exit ticket: "One question that I have about this topic is...." Homework Complete the "Pythagorean Word Problems" worksheet. Work on Study Island lessons for which you did not earn a blue ribbon.
